A complete set of the proceedings along with an approved list of claims is on file in the Board of Commissioners’ Journal, is of public record in the Saline County Clerk’s office and on our website: www.co.saline.ne.us SALINE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS The regular meeting of the Saline County Board of Commissioners was called to order at 9:38 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, by Chairperson Phil Hardenburger. Present were Hardenburger, Russ Karpisek, Janet J. Henning, Stephanie A. Krivohlavek, Marvin A. Kohout Commissioners, Deputy County Clerk Dee Drake and County Attorney David Solheim; Notice of said meeting was posted in the County Clerk’s Office and published in all three county newspapers on August 2, 2023, in compliance with State Statutes; Hardenburger advised those present of the open meetings act at the back of the room and that all proceedings are electronically recorded; Approved the agenda; Approved the minutes of the July 18, 2023 regular meeting; Approved the minutes of the July 25, 2023 regular meeting; Approved the minutes of the July 28, 2023 emergency meeting; Under Citizens Forum, Lester Ralston addressed the Board; Under Correspondence it was reported receiving from Blue Valley Community Action a meeting agenda and minutes; August 2023 Reports to the Board of Directors; Upcoming City of Crete Planning Commission meeting, Nebraska Department of Natural Resources-Notice: Shestak Reservoir is open; Received SENDD report and membership packet; Notice of NACO Southeast District meeting; Berggren Architects, PC, jail remodeling; Under Report of Officials, heard reports from Commissioners regarding attending Court Hearing, insurance meeting for employees, Planning and Zoning and County Attorney Standard meeting and tree complaint; Matt Kasik, CEO with Region V Services gave annual report; Aging Partners annual report by Jill Engel and Lori Moldenhauer; At 10:16 a.m. the Board recessed; At 10:25 a.m. the Board reconvened; Brian Blobaum with Blobaum & Busboom, P.C. gave a report on the county budget; Approved the Saline County District Court, July 2023, Fees and Fines; Approved the Clerk fees for July 2023; Approved the Insurance Renewal for Principal Dental; Supplemental agreement for Speece Lewis Engineers for Structure # C007601725 error in agreement referred to next meeting; Highway Superintendent reported on current projects; Approved Surplus items for County Attorney’s office inventory; Approved Resolution 2023-42 Tax Foreclosure; Approved Resolution 2023-43 Issue Tax Sale Certificates;
