EXETER-MILLIGAN PUBLIC SCHOOL SPECIAL JOINT BOARD MEETING WITH FRIEND PUBLIC SCHOOLS MILLIGAN SITE GYMNASIUM WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 17, 2024 – 7:00 PM President Erdkamp declared the special joint meeting open at 7:00 pm. Those present were A. Erdkamp, D. Kallhoff, K. Jansky, E. Milton, R. Johnson, P. Jurgensen, Superintendent Sheffield, and Principal Kroll. There were 14 visitors plus the Friend School Board and Superintendent Anderson present. The Nebraska Open Meetings Act was posted. Motion by Milton and seconded by Johnson to verify that this meeting of the School Board of Exeter- Milligan Public Schools was duly advertised and that all board members were notified as to the time and place of the meeting pursuant to board policy and practice. Motion carried 6-0. Superintendents Sheffield and Andersen shared an EMF consolidation proposal. The goals for the evening were shared with the main goal being the sharing of information about the possible consolidation. The presentation and accompanying information is available on the school website. If approved, the proposal would go into effect in the 2025-26 school year. The timeline of upcoming meetings was shared with the vote occurring at the April 2024 meeting. Motion by Kallhoff and seconded by Jurgensen to adjourn the meeting at 7:22 pm. Motion carried 6-0.
