An egg-cellent cause

The Friend Christian Assembly is gearing up to host a service that will make Easter easier on parents this year. Proceeds from the Egg My Yard event will go toward funding the church's upcoming mission trip to Nigeria. Consolidation conversations continue at BOE Meetings

Both the Exeter-Milligan and Friend boards of education held their regular monthly meetings on March 18 with school district consolidation as a discussion item on their agendas. Both meetings had a citizen forum. No public comments were made at EM but in Friend nine members spoke in support of the consolidation.

Krupicka leads Bobcats at EMF

The Exeter-Milligan/Friend track and field team competed at the Doane Class C indoor meet on March 15 and placed eighth as a team for the boys and seventh for the girls. Savannah Krupicka earned two silver medals in the triple jump and 800m run and placed fourth in the long jump.

WC competes well at Doane meet

The Wilber-Clatonia track and field team competed at the Doane Class C indoor meet on March 15 and was the team runner up for the boys team and placed 10th for the girls team. Gavin Vlcan won the 200m dash and 400m dash and placed second in the 60m dash and 4X400m relay.

TC gets back on track at Doane

The Tri County track and field team competed at the Doane Class C indoor meet on March 15 and had three event champions. Dustin Kapke won the 60m hurdles, Drew Sims won the 3200m run and the boys 4X800m relay took the gold. For the girls, Isabelle Peters and Ella Clark both took home silver medals, with Clark placing second in the 400m dash and Peters in the 3200m run. The 4X400m and 4X800m relay teams also took second place.
