The Crete chapters of Beta Sigma Phi International, Alpha Gamma and Alpha Theta, met at the home of Liz Henning of Crete to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the organization and discover the upcoming year’s theme of Angels of Friendship. Loosely based on the upcoming theme, each chapter develops donations, service activities and programs, and giving opportunities throughout Crete, Wilber and the state as well as one or two more ongoing projects as a whole group. In addition, each chapter awards a Girl of the Year recipient based on the past year’s theme. This year’s recipient for Alpha Gamma is Kim Whitley of Lincoln and for Alpha Theta is Jan Zahourek of Crete.
