Steve Scholl was born in Tilden to Maynard and Joan Scholl. He was raised in Elgin. He had six children – Danny, Trenton, Michael, Dylan, Josie and Gracia.
In December 2021, he was married to Cara (Maahs) Scholl of Walton and gained five more kids – Hayden, Malcom, Lydia, Eli and Meredith. He was diagnosed with Inoperable stage 4 Glioblastoma Brain Cancer and had to sell his business of 20 years, Steve’s Repair, in Friend.
He was preceded in death by sons, Danny, Trenton and Michael; parents, Maynard and Joan Scholl; brother-in-law, Mike Kinney; and father-in-law, Eugene Maahs.
He is survived by his wife, Cara; siblings, Karin Scholl Kinney, Randy Scholl, Jeff Scholl, and Kasey and Kathy Scholl Tobias; children, Dylan and Jenna Scholl, Josie and Jaden Necker, Gracia, Hayden and Anisia Carney, Malcom and Darian Carney, Coleton and Lydia Schippert, Eli Carney and Ashley and Meredith Carney and Grady; grandkids, Addison, Alicen, Shanda, Milo, Brantley, Oakley Jo, Kinsley Lou and Kayce; great-granddaughter, Cecilia; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, Oct. 15, at 11:30 a.m. at the Prairie Creek Inn in Walton.
