Sharon Kay (Coy) Wrede, 81, of Lincoln, passed away Feb. 25, 2025.
She was born April 2, 1943, in Lincoln, to James H. and Lillian (Steffensen) Coy. Sharon was a devoted mother and grandmother, who enjoyed crocheting, gardening, reading, puzzle books, animals and spending time with family. She was a retired payroll associate who worked numerous administrative jobs over multiple decades.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Diana (Michael) Maddock, and Susan (Daniel) Wendling; son, Timothy Wrede; grandchildren, Jennifer Berens, Matthew Berens, and Zachary Wendling, all of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 61 years, Willis E. Wrede.
Visitation will be from 4 – 6 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at Metcalf Funeral Home in Lincoln. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, at the funeral home with a graveside service following at Fairview Cemetery in Lincoln.
