Rosanne Nell Schluter, aged 81, passed away in Lincoln, on July 4, 2025.
She was born Oct. 21, 1943, in Ida Grove, Iowa, to Harvey and Rose (Bennett) Keller. She graduated from high school in 1961 and married the love of her life, Norman Schluter, on Jan. 26, 1962, in Odebolt, Iowa. From this union, three children were born: Jeff, David, and Darwin.
Rosanne began her nursing career at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove, before relocating to Friend. Here, she found her home at Warren Memorial Hospital and later retired from Lincoln General Hospital. Her dedicated healthcare service reflected her compassionate spirit, bringing comfort and care to many.
Rosanne was not just limited to her professional life. She was an avid reader, consuming two to three books a week, and an enthusiast of birdwatching and winter bird feeding. She also cherished the many winters she spent in Arizona with her husband.
She is survived by her husband, Norman Schluter; sons, Jeff (Angel) Schluter, Hastings, David (Dawn) Schluter, Friend, and Darwin (Melanie) Schluter, Friend; grandchildren, Shaunda Martin, Manilla, Iowa, Abbey (Nick) Elliott, Omaha, Mattie Schluter, Hastings, Jon (Jessie) Schluter, Friend, Chris (Jamie) Schluter, Odell, Nate (Jami) Schluter, North Bend, Breckan Schluter, Friend, and Taylin Schluter, Friend; sister, Cheri (Gary) Stowe, Seattle, Washington; and nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Rosanne was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral service was July 8 with interment at the Andrew Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
