INVITATION FOR BIDS SALINE COUNTY AUDIT The County Board of Commissioners of Saline County, Nebraska, will receive bids until 10:00 a.m. on May 9, 2022, at the office of the Saline County Clerk, Saline County Courthouse, Wilber, Nebraska, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened, and all bids read aloud for the annual audit for Saline County, Nebraska. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS Section I PREPARATION OF BIDS a. Bids shall be in written form, and shall be prepared and signed by the bidder, or his authorized representative. Any corrections to entries made on the bid should be initialed by the person signing the bid. b. Bids shall be submitted for two (2) different time periods. One bid shall be for the 2022/23 annual audit. The other bid shall be for three (3) years, 2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25. c. Alternative bids will not be considered unless specifically called for. Section II SUBMISSION OF BIDS a. Bids must be submitted as directed in these Instructions to Bidders. Section III RECEIPT AND OPENING OF BIDS a. Bids shall be submitted prior to the time fixed in the Invitation for Bids. Bids received after the time so indicated shall be returned unopened. Section IV WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS a. Bids may be withdrawn at any time prior to opening, upon written request of the bidder. Negligence on the part of the bidder in preparing their bid shall not constitute a right to withdraw their bid subsequent to the bid opening. Section V OPENING OF BIDS a. At the time and place fixed for opening bids, the contents of all bids will be made public for the information of all bidders, and other interested parties who may be present in person or by a representative. b. The contract shall be awarded to the selected bidder as soon as practicable after the bid opening subject to the reservation of Section VI, hereafter. Section VI REJECTION OF BIDS a. Saline County reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Section VII MISCELLANDOUS a. All bids shall remain in effect for a minimum period of thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. b. Envelopes containing bids shall be sealed. The envelope containing the bid shall be marked as follows: Saline County, Nebraska, Proposal for Annual Audit. Section VIII SPECIFICATIONS a. Specifications are on file in the Office of the County Clerk of Saline County, Nebraska, and may be obtained from that office at no charge. b. The County of Saline reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive informalities in bids submitted by order of the Chairperson of the Saline County Commissioners, Saline County, Nebraska.
