FRIEND CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING June 30, 2026 Mayor Knoke and City Council met in Special session on Tuesday June 30, 2026. The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. at the City Hall. The following were present: Mayor Knoke; Kristen Milton, David Sladek, Phyllis Schwab; absent Jeremy Collier, council members. Moved by Milton, seconded by Sladek to approve hiring Shawn Gray as the City of Friend’s Code Enforcement officer at $5,000.00 per year. Roll Call: Ayes: Milton, Sladek, Schwab; Absent: Collier. Nays: None. Motion Carried. Moved by Sladek, seconded by Milton to approve hiring Cassandra Pohl effective June 30, 2026, as the new Deputy Clerk. Roll Call: Ayes: Sladek, Schwab, Milton; Absent Collier. Nays: None. Motion Carried. Moved by Milton and seconded by Sladek to disburse $251,759.15 in CDBG funds to Friend Historical Society. Roll Call: Ayes: Schwab, Sladek, Milton; Absent Collier. Nays: None. Motion Carried. No further business to come before City Council it was moved by Milton to adjourn, seconded by Schwab.
