FRIEND CITY COUNCIL MINUTES-REGULAR MEETING JUNE 3, 2025 Council President Kristen Milton called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmembers were present: Kristen Milton, David Sladek, and Phyllis Schwab. Council President Milton led the meeting in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. As required by the Nebraska Open Meetings Act, Council President Milton announced that a copy of the Nebraska Open Meetings Act has been posted on the south door of the City Hall meeting. Motions were made, seconded, and passed unanimously for the following: to approve the minutes from May 6, 2025 Regular meeting & May 19, 2025 Special Meeting to approve the May Treasurer report to approve May claims and payroll to approve Hospital Financial Reports from May 2025 to postpone decision on Farmers COOP Subdivision until gain more information to update interlocal agreement for Public Safety building between rural board & city to approve raising pool wages: $1.50 increase for life guards, assistant manager increase to $14 to approve correction on General Checking account balance to agree with the bank to approve payment of outstanding dispatch service bill to table discussion of city employee health insurance until end of meeting to approve replacement of pump for Waste Water Treatment Plant to adjourn meeting at 8:55pm Library- no report Jared Chaffin gave Friend Healthcare Systems report.
