Forrest Alen Doyle, of rural Friend, passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, at his home.

Forrest was born Sept. 28, 1957, in North Platte, to Benjamin and Donna Doyle and was the fifth of nine children.

After graduation from high school, Forrest attended Mid Plains Community College in North Platte, where he graduated with a associate degree. Forrest enlisted in the U.S. Navy on June 13, 1975, and trained as a submarine diesel mechanic and auxiliary equipment technician. Forrest was honorably discharged April 30, 1997. Forrest was united in marriage to Tina Missildine on July 28, 1984, in New London, Connecticut.

Forrest worked for Sapp Brothers and was a guard with the Nebraska State Penitentiary. He also served at the Saline County Veterans Service Officer until his retirement in 2022. Forrest always marched in the local parades as a honor guard, volunteered with the Burger Shack during the day and called bingo every Sunday afternoon.

Forrest is survived by brothers and wives, Robert and Virginia Doyle, Guy Lee and Alice Doyle, Clyde Doyle; step-brother, Glen Doyle; step-sister, Connie Adams; sister-in-law, Cynthia Missildine; nieces and nephews, many grandkids, adopted family and friends. Forrest is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Donna Doyle; wife, Tina L. Doyle; brother, Ben Doyle; sisters, Aurellia Luster and Lena Doyle.

Visitation is Friday, Dec. 16, from 1 to 8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lauber Funeral and Cremation Services in Friend. The funeral service is Saturday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. The service will be live-streamed on the Lauber Funeral and Cremation Services Facebook page. Internment will be Monday, Dec. 19, at 1 p.m. at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family for future designation.
