Incoming sophomores at UNL Shelby Steyer of Friend and Jacob Cerny of Dorchester helped with research, exhibit upkeep and more at the Saline County Historical Museum through their internships this summer. Fifty members of the Wilber Junior Czech Dancers entertained at Tabitha and the Garden in Crete on Monday, July 22. Dancers included: Colby Young, Hadley Drewes, Charli Asher Crew, Liam Hoesche, Berkley Hoesche, Tyndall Cramer, Mila Znamenacek, Jax Znamenacek, Jaxon Trautman, Rylan Trautman, Ethan Taylor, Brook Formanek, Anistyn Formanek, Kinley Seyfert, Clara Birkett, Rhett Hermsmeier, Riggs Brueggeman, Emilee Brueggeman, Marlee Brueggeman, Clara Newmyer, Avery Newmyer, Ellie Newmyer, Jessa Homolka, Izley Svarc, Ava Svarc, Madisyn Steuk, Ezeckiel Chaver, Kaylee Zahourek, Mason Zahourek, Arthur Seyfert, Haegen Havel, Brielle Mcmillan, Cale Mcmillan, Joe Filipi, Kenzlyn Winkler-Deboer, Franklin Koll, Charles Koll, Sawyer Lane, Meredith McArthur, Mabel McArthur, Clayton Long, Grace Lynn Long, Bristyl Niemeyer, Sloan Hohlfeld, Cleo Hohlfeld, Myzel Cassel, Kasen Fuller and Kaleb Fuller.
Dance assistants included Wilber Czech Princess Brynlee Burns, Logan Young and Barrett Vogel. Director Sheryl Kastanek provided treats to the dancers.
The Cordova Pigeon Race will be held on Sunday, July 28. The pigeons will fly at 1:15 p.m. but a car show, free will dinner and children's story time will also be included in the day's events.

The Swanton Legion Hall is serving free will donation, homemade ice cream on Sunday, July 28 from 5-7 p.m.
Teen Night at the Crete Public Library will bring out your inner artist. Experiment with different materials to bring personal visions to life. Registration is required and the event is for teens ages 12 to 17.
