The four original churches of Friend are no longer standing but reminders of their history still remain.
The Friend Historical Society has recently come into possession of a stained glass window from each of the four churches, which are displayed in the Warren Building. When C.E. Friend founded the town, he donated lots for churches to be built and Friend soon had Catholic, Congregational, Methodist and Baptist churches.
