The Sharks had to battle back for the game-one win against UBC July 8 in Beaver Crossing. The Badgers scored three in the first and another in the second before Geneva got its bats going.

Payne and Hunter Fintel led off the top of the fourth with back-to-back singles. Kimbrough loaded the bases when he was hit by a pitch and, with one out, Due singled to drive in Payne and Fintel and move Kimbrough to third. Due advanced to second and both runners scored on a double by Joey Pedersen.

Due finished the game 3-4 with two RBIs.

Trevin Stassines pitched five innings for the win, striking out nine. Due got the save by striking out the side in the sixth.

In game two, the Sharks jumped out to a 12-0 lead with four runs in each of the first three innings. UBC chipped its way back into the game and trailed 12-6 after the fifth.
