Sokol Hall hosted its second annual Czech camp last week where kids from Wilber and the surrounding areas dove into the culture and history of the Czech Republic. This year's theme was Olympics. "Czech" out the Wilber Republican on July 17 to see what the campers learned and to hear from a camper and volunteer about their experience.

Teens at Crete Public Library can put their kitchen skills to the test on Thursday, July 25 from 4 to 6 p.m. Registration is required and the event is for teens ages 12 to 17. Please inform the library of any food allergies when registering.

Judging will be done on the use of Czech colors of red, white and blue; Czech dress and the development of this year’s Czech Festival Theme “Together We Can”.
