Betty Rae (Noler) Leibee, 93, of Westlake, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022.

She was born Aug. 12, 1928, to John and Bessie Noler in Friend. She married Robert Leibee on April 22, 1950, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and in 1954, they moved to Westlake, Louisiana. Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed being involved in her children’s school activities and after-school activities. After her children grew up, she enjoyed traveling. Betty is a current member of St. John Lutheran Church in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where she was a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and worked many years at the now disbanded Lutheran Braille Center.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 71 years, Robert Leibee of Westlake; children, Mary Allmon of West Monroe, Nancye Leibee of Westlake, and John Leibee of Lake Charles; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Noler and Bessie Louise (Johnson) Noler; brother, Jack Noler; and son-in-law, Steve Allmon.

A funeral service was Jan. 18 at St. John Lutheran Church in Lake Charles. Burial will be at a later date in Zastrow Cemetery, Cordova.
